Was it Right to Fire Joe Paterno?

Obviously everybody has heard about it by now, but just because the Penn State situation came out over a week ago, it doesn’t mean that the story is still not relevant. What happened at Penn State was truly upsetting, and it was a terrible way for Joe Paterno to leave the school that he has been so closely linked to for all these years. He gave his life to being a huge part of the Penn State family, and that is why I believe it was the correct decision to fire him. For someone who is basically synonymous with the words “Penn State,” it is his moral responsibility to protect that school from any harm to its reputation. Continue reading
